Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents—assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and alert nursing staff to any changes in condition
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and adhere to infection-control standards
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Document resident care and observations promptly and accurately in facility records
- Participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care and resident safety
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (T-CNA credential noted/accepted)
- Valid state certification (WV) or ability to obtain state certification prior to assignment
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and providing hands-on care in a skilled nursing setting
- Clear background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations) per facility policy
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- CNA certification from an accredited program (state-approved)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident hygiene assistance
- Knowledge of safe transfer techniques and fall prevention
- Ability to take and document vital signs and basic patient observations
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and family members
- Reliable time management and documentation habits
