Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a Level III Trauma/teaching hospital
• Rapidly assess, triage, and prioritize patients to ensure timely interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in Epic
• Manage a patient assignment consistent with the unit ratio (1:5-6) while maintaining safety and standards
• Adapt to unit needs by floating within scope to like units when requested

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in North Carolina (pending licenses are not accepted)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Comfortable working night shifts in a fast-paced emergency department
• Experience using Epic charting (listed as a core skill for this role)
• First-time travel nurses welcomed; travel experience is not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills
• Ability to manage multiple critically ill or injured patients safely
• Proficient with Epic electronic charting
• Ability to work independently on night shift and as part of a team
• Experience managing patient ratios similar to 1:5-6
• Willingness to float within scope to support patient care needs
