Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day shift). Note: RN support scheduled Mon-Fri, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients
- Implement and monitor therapeutic diets appropriate to psychiatric and medical needs
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and facility staff in a clear, compassionate way
- Document nutrition care accurately and timely according to facility standards
- Participate in menu reviews and ensure compliance with clinical nutrition guidelines
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and help improve nutrition services
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required
- Active registration or eligibility to register as an RD
- Experience working in clinical or institutional settings preferred
- Comfortable working in a correctional/psychiatric program environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Availability to work Monday through Friday during posted shift times
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (typical for RD credential)
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or supervised practice program
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical nutrition assessment and therapeutic diet planning
- Menu planning and oversight in an institutional setting
- Clear, professional documentation and charting skills
- Ability to educate patients and staff about nutrition in an approachable way
- Teamwork and collaboration with nursing and medical staff
- Familiarity with nutrition considerations for psychiatric populations is a plus
