Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes quickly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the care team to develop and update care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, procedures, and care transitions
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• ICU clinical experience and comfort with critical care patient management
• BLS required; ACLS preferred or able to obtain
• Current vaccinations and compliance with facility health requirements
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with ICU monitoring equipment and electronic charting systems
• Assessment and prioritization skills for critically ill patients
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac life support principles
• Ability to deliver compassionate patient- and family-centered care
• Teamwork, clinical judgment, and time management under pressure
