Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting with focus and compassion
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic and ventilator data to guide bedside interventions
• Administer medications, IV therapies and titrate drips per ICU protocols and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute care plans
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and families during high-stress situations
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license eligible for practice in Louisiana
• ICU clinical experience (preferred) — strong critical care assessment and judgment
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willingness to obtain
• Current basic certifications and demonstrated competency in ICU skills (ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring)
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and comfort working in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Ability to pass employer background checks and meet hospital onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred where available; equivalent clinical experience considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of critical care principles and ICU patient management
• Skill with ventilator care, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced cardiac life support practices
• Medication administration accuracy and familiarity with vasoactive/infusion therapies
• Excellent assessment skills and ability to prioritize care for multiple high-acuity patients
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families and care teams
• Basic familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation best practices
