Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document in the patient chart
• Perform focused patient assessments and report changes to the care team promptly
• Collaborate with RNs, providers, and support staff to coordinate safe patient care
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe environment
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers during your shift

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (practical/vocational nurse) in the state of North Carolina or compact/reciprocal eligibility
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Previous experience in long-term care, acute care, or similar clinical setting preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication preparation and safe administration
• Patient assessment and basic clinical skills
• Wound care and dressing changes
• Charting and documentation in electronic health records
• Infection prevention practices and safety protocols
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Collaborative teamwork with nurses, providers, and allied health staff
