Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Red Rocks Care Center
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to deliver coordinated care
• Document assessments, interventions, and resident responses clearly and timely
• Support residents' daily living needs while promoting dignity and independence
• Contribute to a safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — New Mexico licensure required or compact/reciprocity as applicable
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to work the Friday-Sunday weekend schedule; local candidates preferred
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach

Education

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN) program or diploma

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Basic patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Wound care fundamentals and assistance with ADLs
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Good documentation skills and electronic charting comfort
• Teamwork, time management, and strong interpersonal skills
