Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents at Windward Gardens
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Perform routine assessments and promptly report changes in condition
• Document care and observations clearly in the patient record
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
• Support admissions, discharges, and transfers smoothly and professionally

Qualifications

• Current LPN license (Maine license preferred for local-only assignment)
• Completion of an accredited LPN program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification recommended
• Comfortable with medication administration, wound care, and resident assessments
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience helpful but enthusiastic new grads welcomed to apply

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN / practical nursing program
• High school diploma or GED required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals and medication administration
• Ability to perform vital signs, focused assessments, and care documentation
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety protocols
• Good clinical judgment and the ability to prioritize in a busy environment
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective interpersonal skills
