Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and communicate observations to the nursing team
• Support mealtime needs and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Document care given accurately and timely in resident records
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with older adults and patients with cognitive or mobility needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to resident-centered care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with infection control and patient hygiene practices
• Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
