Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered personal care with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and accurately document vital signs and resident observations
• Support safe transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect residents and yourself
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly and clearly
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Build positive relationships with residents and families through clear, kind communication

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Pennsylvania certification preferred)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet immunization/health requirements
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus but not always required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care practices and infection control
• Comfortable with documentation and charting of care activities
• Skilled in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to observe and report changes in condition accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills and a calming bedside manner
• Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
