Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility to promote dignity and comfort
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and ambulation to reduce fall risk and maintain patient mobility
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments by following infection control and safety protocols
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Document care provided and observations in the medical record with attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings or immunizations
• Comfortable with night-shift work and flexible per diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new graduates with certification are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental patient care techniques and safe transfer methods
• Basic vital signs measurement and documentation practices
• Understanding of infection control, standard precautions, and HIPAA principles
• Ability to observe, report, and escalate patient changes effectively
• Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
