Certified Nursing Assistant

Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening (non-overnight)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
Document patient interactions and care in the medical record clearly and timely
Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver consistent, high-quality care
Observe and report clinical or behavioral changes to the charge nurse

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (Pennsylvania preferred)
Active CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and TB test as required by facility policy
Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Reliable, compassionate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting
Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs encouraged to apply

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
Vital signs measurement and basic patient assessment
Infection control and safe hygiene practices
Basic charting and documentation skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
