Location: Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, ensuring dignity and comfort
Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to nursing staff
Help maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients
Support nursing team with routine tasks and timely documentation
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to coordinate care

Qualifications

Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Comfortable assisting with mobility and physical patient needs
Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are welcome

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in patient hygiene, transfers, and assistance with activities of daily living
Knowledge of basic infection control and safe patient handling practices
Ability to take and document vital signs and observe for clinical changes
Comfortable using electronic or paper charting systems for documentation
Good communication and teamwork skills in a clinical setting
Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
