Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate occupational therapy services to patients according to individualized plans
- Develop, implement, and revise treatment plans that promote independence and functional gains
- Perform patient assessments and document progress clearly and promptly
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and care teams to coordinate care and reach goals
- Teach patients and families therapeutic techniques and home programs to support recovery
- Participate in weekend rotation and support continuity of care across shifts
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety protocols, and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant credential as listed in the posting
- Class P-OTA (as noted) — experience or interest in pediatric-focused OTA care a plus
- Ability to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and participate in weekend rotation
- Enthusiasm for working in a team-based, patient-centered environment
- Facility-required checks such as background screening and health requirements will be completed
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in patient assessment, therapeutic intervention, and activity-based treatment
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with clinical charting
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and communicate clearly
- Comfort working with pediatric populations consistent with P-OTA classification
- Time management, organization, and a patient-centered approach
