Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams, including 3D tomosynthesis
- Operate and troubleshoot digital and Hologic 3D mammography equipment with precision
- Ensure patient comfort and safety while explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Chart accurately and efficiently in EPIC to support continuity of patient care
- Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely image interpretation
- Maintain imaging quality control, follow ARRT standards and facility protocols
- Adhere to infection control, safety guidelines and facility-specific policies
- Contribute to an outpatient clinic workflow that averages 15–18 exams per day
Qualifications
- Active Washington state license (required)
- ARRT and ARRT (M) certification (ARRT (M) explicitly noted)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum clinical mammography experience (posting references at least 1 year; experience field also indicates 2 years)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Comfortable working in an outpatient breast imaging setting (screening and diagnostic)
- First-time traveler friendly — First Time Traveler OK
- Ability to be flexible with weekday schedules and occasional variations in shift start/end times
Education
- ARRT Mammography certification (ARRT (M))
- ARRT registration (general) and BLS certification
- Active Washington state radiologic technologist license
Knowledge & Skills
- 3D Mammography / Tomosynthesis
- Diagnostic and Screening Mammograms
- Digital Mammography
- Experience with Hologic 3D equipment (preferred)
- EPIC electronic charting
- Strong patient communication and positioning skills
- Image quality assessment and QA processes
- Outpatient clinic workflow and time management
