Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for med-surg/telemetry patients
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms to detect and escalate changes quickly
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and follow ACLS/BLS protocols when needed
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic to ensure continuity of care and clear communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — physicians, therapists, and unit staff — to optimize patient outcomes
- Float between like units as needed to support staffing and maintain quality patient care
- Participate in unit-based initiatives and practice improvements that enhance patient safety
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license — pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Telemetry (MS/Tele) nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIH)
- Comfortable with Epic charting and electronic documentation
- First-time travel nurses are welcome — we’ll support your transition
- Willingness to work night shifts and float between like units as necessary
- Able to meet the facility’s 50-mile local acceptance rule (locals not accepted within 50 miles of main campus)
Education
- Active RN license (required). Nursing degree (ADN/BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
- MedSurg clinical judgment and prioritization at a 1:5-6 patient ratio
- Proficient Epic documentation and electronic chart workflow
- ACLS and BLS emergency response skills
- NIH Stroke Scale assessment knowledge
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt and float to similar units while maintaining high-quality care
