GI Tech - Endoscopy
Location: Long Beach, CA
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 5x8 day shifts with varied start times (8-hour day shifts), call required, every other weekend (EOW)
Candidate Pay Rate: $58 - $40.6 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain endoscopy procedure rooms and equipment with meticulous attention to safety and infection control
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during GI procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflow
- Perform patient prep and monitoring, providing compassionate support and clear communication
- Decontaminate, disinfect, and properly store endoscopic instruments following protocol
- Document procedures, instrument tracking, and patient information accurately and promptly
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Endoscopy Technician or completion of an accredited endoscopy tech program preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or available by orientation
- Experience working in a GI/endoscopy setting preferred; adaptable new grads with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to reliably cover scheduled call rotations, including every-other-weekend (EOW)
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal endoscopy tech program or relevant allied health training preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with endoscopic instruments, scopes, and reprocessing procedures
- Understanding of sterile technique and infection prevention standards
- Comfortable assisting with patient positioning, monitoring vitals, and supporting sedation processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced procedural suites
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to prioritize and multitask under pressure
