Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report any changes in condition promptly
• Provide compassionate bedside care and emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and charting according to facility guidelines
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver coordinated care
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (state-required) in good standing
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
• Comfortable with routine documentation and basic EMR tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work evening shifts as scheduled

Education

• High school diploma or GED required
• Graduation from an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in assisting with ADLs and patient hygiene
• Monitoring and reporting of vital signs and patient changes
• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Familiarity with patient handling and transfer techniques
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset
• Basic computer/EMR navigation for documentation
