Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility tasks with dignity
• Take and record basic vital signs and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers, positioning, and fall prevention efforts
• Document care activities and observations accurately and timely
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent, person centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required)
• Valid New Mexico CNA authorization or eligibility to obtain state authorization
• Prior experience in a clinical or long term care setting is preferred but new grads welcome
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Ability to work 12-hour overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling
• Basic life support certification such as BLS/CPR preferred or willing to obtain

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and comfort measures
• Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Accurate vital sign measurement and reporting
• Infection control and safe hygiene practices
• Observation and clear communication of patient condition
• Reliable documentation and time management
