Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Support mobility and safe transfers while following facility protocols
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Communicate clearly and courteously with residents, families, and the care team
• Document care provided in resident charts and escalate clinical concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of New Mexico
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility health requirements
• Comfort with night shift duties and working in a fast-paced long-term care setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and basic personal care
• Proficient in measuring and recording vital signs accurately
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills with nursing staff and other caregivers
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly

This is a per diem position in Albuquerque.
