Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Perform bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance safely
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nurse
• Document care and resident observations clearly and promptly
• Support restorative and rehabilitation programs as directed
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and ensuring resident comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain per facility policy)
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass workplace health screenings
• Willingness to work night shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Positive background check and drug screening as required
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring, patient-centered mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and observe clinical changes
• Familiarity with documentation/charting best practices
• Basic understanding of infection prevention and control
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
• Time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nurses
