Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility, and toileting needs with dignity
• Document care and observations accurately and timely in resident records
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and lift equipment
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working with adult/geriatric populations
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the Gettysburg Center as needed
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care practices and resident safety
• Skill in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Ability to observe, report, and document resident status accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and hygiene best practices
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare setting
