Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care during overnight hours, ensuring comfort and dignity
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
• Promote infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Valid CNA certification for the state of New Mexico preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Prior experience in long-term care or rehabilitation centers is a plus
• Comfort working overnight shifts and strong teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and understanding of activities of daily living
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Basic charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Good communication skills with patients and the healthcare team
• Dependable time management and adaptability during busy shifts
