Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Oregon, MO
Start Date: 04-05-2026
End Date: 07-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shift; start between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM (examples: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM up to 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders using standardized assessments
- Develop, implement and adjust individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Document treatment minutes and maintain accurate electronic medical records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify services or make referrals based on patient progress
- Provide patient, family and caregiver counseling and education to support rehabilitation goals
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and ensure continuity of care
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members about patient status and barriers
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, rehab meetings and required facility trainings
- Obtain necessary DME/supplies and support efficient clinical workflows
- Supervise and support CFY and student Speech-Language Pathologists when needed
Qualifications
- Active MO State License - required
- ASHA CCC credential - required
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required; new graduates accepted with Level II clinical experience
- LTC (long-term care) or Rehab experience - required
- 3 years holding active CCS preferred
- Ability to accurately document treatment minutes and use electronic documentation (EMR)
- Comfort participating in interdisciplinary meetings and productivity expectations
- Adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct and professional ethics
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with standardized assessments and evidence-based intervention
- Dysphagia and swallowing disorder evaluation and management
- Strong documentation skills, including device-based and electronic charting
- Familiarity with Medicare A/B, productivity management and utilization review processes
- Experience with group therapy and rehab-focused treatment planning
- Ability to procure necessary DME and coordinate supplies for patient care
- Interdisciplinary communication and patient/family counseling skills
- Regulatory compliance knowledge (ASHA and state practice requirements)
