Roles & Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for referrals and patients, ensuring smooth intake and communication
• Attend patient consultations and perform initial examinations and assessments with compassion and accuracy
• Perform daily rounds and communicate patient progress clearly to the interventional radiologist and care team
• Make clinical recommendations to referring physicians, patients, and families under the guidance of the interventional radiologist
• Support and assist with interventional radiology and cath lab procedures including PCI, IABP insertions, IVUS/IFR, and STEMI activations
• Manage referrals and coordinate care to optimize patient flow and outcomes
• Document clinical findings and maintain up-to-date records in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience required
• Experience with heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR and interventional radiology cases (required)
• ARRT certification required (RCIS will not be approved)
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications active at time of submission
• Active state license for Illinois (verification must be less than 30 days old)
• COVID and Flu vaccination required with no declinations approved — please include vaccination status in submission notes
• Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
• Resume listing all facilities, skills checklist (less than 1 year old), and 2 recent supervisory references

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, consultations, and clinical communication
• Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab procedural experience (heart catheterization, PCI, IABP)
• IVUS and IFR imaging techniques
• STEMI call protocols and rapid response
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Strong referral management and care coordination skills
• Ability to make clinical recommendations under physician guidance
