Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status accurately
• Support nursing staff with safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate observations and changes promptly to the care team
• Help create a comfortable, respectful experience for patients and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• Active authorization to work in New Mexico (state practice applies)
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM)
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Previous experience in patient care or long-term care settings preferred
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) encouraged or required per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and ADL assistance
• Vital signs measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and safe handling techniques
• Observation skills and timely reporting to clinical staff
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
• Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in busy settings
