Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
Monitor ventilators and perform real-time hemodynamic assessments to keep patients stable
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, and educators to deliver holistic care
Float within similar units to support colleagues and maintain excellent patient outcomes
Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make every interaction count

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
EPIC charting experience within the last 6 months preferred
Chemo certified and comfortable with ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
Valid driver's license to confirm 50-mile radius compliance

Knowledge & Skills

Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
Titration of insulin and cardizem drips
Hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
EPIC electronic medical record documentation
Alaris IV pump operation
Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and patient advocacy
