Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering safe, patient-centered nursing care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with cardiac, vascular, renal, respiratory, and oncology needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level patient acuity
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication communication, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with a 90% score during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac monitoring and drip titration skills
Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips independently
Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn while accepting feedback
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience serving diverse cultural populations is a plus
