Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and patient status
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Participate in care planning and communicate resident needs with the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (must be valid in New Mexico)
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care with dignity and respect
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and adapting to per diem scheduling
• Background check and immunizations per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care fundamentals and ADL assistance
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Good communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff
• Basic infection control and safety practices
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
