Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, monitor patient status, and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to support independence and comfort
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and follow care plans
• Support infection control, safety protocols, and a clean, respectful environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to promote coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the relevant state or ability to obtain promptly
• Prior experience as a CNA preferred but new graduates with strong caregiver skills are welcome
• Current basic life support CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
• Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings on a per diem basis
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Infection prevention, hand hygiene, and standard precautions
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients and care teams
• Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
