Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to support patient comfort and dignity
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document basic patient information including vital signs
• Collaborate with nurses and the care team to follow care plans and report changes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for patients
• Support patient transfers and positioning with safe body mechanics

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Valid state CNA certification for New Mexico preferred or ability to obtain
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts on a per diem basis
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to pass standard background and health screenings as required

Education

• CNA certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care and activities of daily living
• Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with documenting care and communicating with the nursing team
• Patient safety awareness and safe transfer techniques
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with patients and families
