Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations on Siemens scanners for ED, outpatient and inpatient populations
• Prepare and administer contrast media safely, adhering to radiation safety and isolation precautions
• Obtain venous access including peripheral IV starts for contrast studies when required
• Operate PACS and EPIC for image routing, review and charting to ensure accurate documentation
• Execute specialized CT protocols (head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine and trauma studies)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in the ED, ICU and adult acute care settings to optimize patient care
• Participate in unit orientation and support peers while transitioning to independent operation of equipment
• Contribute to a safe, patient-centered environment by following infection control and PPE procedures

Qualifications

• ARRT CT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (Adult Acute Care, ICU and Emergency Department experience required)
• Hands-on experience with Siemens CT systems (MUST have Siemens)
• Comfortable with contrast preparation/administration and radiation safety practices
• Proven ability to start peripheral IVs and perform venipuncture
• Familiarity with PACS and EPIC charting systems
• Management/lead experience preferred but not required; travelers and first-time travelers accepted

Knowledge & Skills

• Siemens Image Display and Post Processing
• PACS operation and image management
• EPIC charting and documentation
• 3D rendering (MIP, surface shading, volume rendering) and multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
• Region of Interest (ROI) measurements and image post-processing
• CT protocols for abdomen/pelvis/chest/head/spine and trauma imaging
• Vascular chest studies (CTA/PE) and cardiac CT basics (calcium scoring/coronary angiography)
• Special procedures experience: aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography
• Isolation precautions/PPE and infection control expertise
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced ED/outpatient settings
