Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during assigned shifts
• Perform head-to-toe assessments and monitor patient status throughout the day
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly and promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and resources
• Educate patients, families, and school staff about health needs and safety
• Escalate changes in condition and critical concerns in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
• Experience in school health, pediatric, or community nursing is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and medication administration skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently on per diem assignments
• Up-to-date immunizations and TB testing as required by facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and triage for children and adolescents
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Electronic health record documentation and charting
• Clear communication with students, caregivers, and school staff
• Infection control, safety protocols, and basic emergency response
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
