Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert circulating and teching support for advanced Endoscopy/GI procedures such as EUS and ERCP
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the perioperative team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
• Perform thorough EPIC charting and maintain accurate patient records
• Prepare and manage procedural equipment and supplies, maintaining sterile technique
• Participate in call rotations and respond promptly to urgent cases
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and follow-up
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to unit policies (including infection-control and fingernail policy)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (Endoscopy/GI experience preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Strong circulating and teching skills for advanced procedures (EUS, ERCP) — you know your instruments and sequence
• EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred (not a deal breaker)
• Willingness to complete orientation and pass an open-book skills exam (90% required)
• Ability to participate in call coverage, including occasional weekends

Education

• Active RN license; ADN or BSN accepted (BSN not required)

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of Endoscopy/GI procedures and peri-procedural care
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and acute care documentation
• Excellent intraoperative communication and team coordination
• Strong aseptic and sterile technique skills
• Comfort managing trauma-level 1 acuity when needed
• Adaptability under fast-paced procedural workflow
