Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within the LVN scope to support patient health and safety
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document administration
• Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to interventions
• Assist with patient assessments and collaborate closely with RN and provider teams
• Maintain timely, accurate medical records and follow documentation standards
• Follow facility policies, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols consistently

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted LVN license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification (AHA only) (required)
• Minimum 1 year of LVN experience within the last 12 months
• Ability to pass an extensive background check and clearance process
• Excellent reliability with no pre-planned time off during the assignment
• Professional demeanor and adaptability for a correctional healthcare setting
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ability to work independently

Education

• LVN diploma or certificate from an accredited program
• Active California LVN licensure (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic treatment procedures
• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Accurate clinical documentation and medical record keeping
• Infection control and facility safety protocols
• Effective communication with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Experience in correctional healthcare or ability to adapt to structured environments
