Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across medical and surgical units
• Float confidently between Medical, Laulima (surgical acute), and occasional Cardiovascular units
• Perform and document assessments, interventions, and patient education in Meditech EMR
• Safely manage specialized equipment and procedures such as wound VACs and chest tube care
• Administer medications and utilize Pyxis for secure medication management
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate excellent care
• Maintain professional nursing standards, infection control, and accurate documentation

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii Registered Nurse license required by start of assignment
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience (posting lists 2–10 years as typical range)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
• Comfortable floating between units and adapting to varied patient populations
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and follow unit-specific orientation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med-surgical nursing knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Experience with Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication systems
• Skilled in wound VAC management and chest tube care
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Familiarity with professional attire and unit-specific protocols
