Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients rapidly and accurately as they enter the emergency care system
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care following physician orders, policies, and best practices
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and therapeutic interventions for cardiopulmonary conditions
- Communicate changes in patient status and diagnostic results clearly to ED physicians and the care team
- Educate patients, caregivers, and the community on respiratory conditions and care plans
- Collaborate with the Respiratory Medical Director and Department Manager to ensure quality care
Qualifications
- Current Utah State Respiratory Therapist Licensure (required)
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy (required)
- Valid, active NBRC credential in good standing (required)
- BCLS and ACLS certification (required)
- AARC/USRC membership preferred
- Ability to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately in an emergency care setting
Education
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy

- Respiratory therapy techniques and cardiopulmonary assessment
- Patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic interventions
- Emergency department communication and teamwork
- Triage decision-making under pressure
- Patient and caregiver education best practices
