Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (night), includes every-other-weekend; schedule may require floating between like units

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical telemetry patients using Epic for charting
- Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and respond promptly to rhythm changes and alarms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility policies and procedures
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures and discharge instructions to support recovery
- Assist with unit needs by floating between like units as required to maintain patient care coverage
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and communicate handoffs to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (North Carolina licensure required; pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Telemetry nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Comfortable with Epic charting
- Ability to safely manage patient ratios of approximately 1:5 to 1:6 on nights
- Willingness to work every-other-weekend and float between like units when needed
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Proficiency with Epic electronic health record
- Solid clinical assessment and urgent response skills for acute care patients
- Good time management and prioritization during 12-hour night shifts
- Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Familiarity with short-term acute care and trauma center workflows
