Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at the facility
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in a timely manner
- Monitor resident status and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Assist with care planning and implement interventions to support resident safety and quality of life
- Collaborate with nursing colleagues and support staff to maintain a positive care environment
- Promote dignity, independence, and respect for each resident through daily interactions
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — required
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN diploma/certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on clinical skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Ability to assess resident condition and report changes effectively
- Familiarity with documentation best practices and care planning
- Compassionate bedside manner and respect for resident dignity
- Time management skills for efficient care during 12-hour shifts
