Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Schedule assignments reviewed every 4-week period; rotating day/night coverage possible and weekends variable based on unit needs.
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for adults and geriatrics on a mixed PCU/Med-Surg surgical oncology unit
- Safely administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions and IV antibiotics following facility protocols
- Manage critical drips including insulin and heparin, and respond to oncologic emergencies such as cytokine release syndrome
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, identify dysrhythmias and initiate appropriate dysrhythmia management
- Perform chest tube care and manage related equipment (Emerson/PleurEvac systems)
- Follow strict infection prevention protocols and implement patient fall prevention strategies
- Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC, coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in unit float and help support other acute care oncology units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or eligible) to practice in state
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required, with experience meeting requirements within the past 3 years and at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
- PCU, Medical-Surgical and telemetry experience (PCU work experience required)
- Comfort with Alaris pumps, GE B450 telemetry monitoring and computerized charting in EPIC
- Ability to float to other acute care oncology units and strong teamwork skills

- PCU nursing and Med-Surg care for surgical oncology patients
- Telemetry monitoring, interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Chemotherapy administration principles and safe handling
- Blood transfusion procedures and IV antibiotic administration
- Management of insulin and heparin infusions
- Chest tube care and related equipment maintenance
- BiPAP/CPAP and tracheostomy care basics
- Strong infection prevention and patient fall prevention practices
- Proficient documentation in EPIC and use of Alaris pumps and B450 monitors
