Shift Type: Night 3x12-hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), three nights per week (specific days vary); every-other-weekend required

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage progressive care/telemetry patients, interpreting EKG data and responding quickly to changes
- Document assessments, interventions and care plans clearly in Epic
- Provide ACLS/BLS level interventions as needed and escalate per NIH Stroke Scale guidelines
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, timely patient care
- Maintain patient ratios (typically 1:4–1:5) and prioritize care effectively during busy shifts
- Float within scope to like units when needed to support facility operations
- Support a positive patient experience while upholding hospital policies and quality standards
- Participate in scheduled weekends and holiday coverage as required
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license (pending licenses are not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience (first-time travel nurses are welcome)
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Must pass the facility EKG exam — no exceptions
- Comfortable and experienced with night-shift nursing and telemetry/PCU patient care
- Experience with Epic charting preferred or required
Knowledge & Skills
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing and telemetry patient management
- Telemetry/EKG monitoring and rhythm recognition
- Proficient Epic documentation and electronic chart workflows
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and manage 1:4–1:5 patient ratios
- Strong assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Team communication, interdisciplinary coordination and patient advocacy
- Flexibility to float to like units as facility needs dictate
