Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts (rotating), including weekends and holidays; specific start/end times vary by assignment and schedule. No guaranteed hours or shift preference.

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Notify MD/NP of pertinent clinical changes and escalate concerns when needed
- Manage admissions and discharges to ensure smooth transitions of care
- Provide ADL assistance and compassionate personal care to residents
- Deliver specialized care including gastrostomy tube, urinary catheter, tracheostomy, CPAP, nebulized treatments, and wound VAC management
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Hawaii RN license must be in hand by assignment start (travelers must apply immediately upon acceptance)
- Experience or comfort working in Long Term Care settings
- Demonstrated ability to perform assessments, medication administration, and ADL support
- Skill and comfort with gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, tracheostomy care, CPAP, nebulized treatments, and wound VAC care
- Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays and to be flexible with scheduling
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Hands-on experience with LTC clinical procedures (G-tube, cath care, wound VAC, trach care)
- Ability to communicate clinical changes effectively to MDs and NPs
- Compassionate ADL assistance and resident-centered care approach
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, varied scheduling environment
