Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop timely, accurate care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely, documenting per facility policy
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate high-quality care
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
- Maintain clear, concise documentation in the electronic health record
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or compact RN license (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or PALS as applicable to the unit preferred
- At least 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred
- Current DEA/license requirements met for medication administration
- Ability to pass credentialing and background checks in a timely manner
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Familiarity with common EHR systems and accurate charting practices
- Infection control, wound care, and patient safety best practices
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Professional bedside manner and effective patient/family education
