Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation to ensure accurate and timely patient care
- Prepare and label medications following strict protocols and safety checks
- Support sterile compounding processes where applicable, maintaining aseptic technique
- Maintain pharmacy compliance and help keep licenses and documentation up to date
- Perform technical support duties under pharmacist supervision, contributing to smooth workflows
- Communicate clearly with pharmacy and clinical teams to support safe medication distribution
- Participate in inventory management and restocking to ensure medication availability
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required upon submission
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
- Pre-employment drug screen required
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Sterile compounding experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Pharmacy Technician course completion preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication preparation and accurate medication labeling
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Familiarity with pharmacy compliance and license maintenance
- Comfort working in fast-paced hospital pharmacy settings
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic inventory and supply management
