Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with medication preparation to ensure accurate and timely patient care
• Prepare and label medications following strict protocols and safety checks
• Support sterile compounding processes where applicable, maintaining aseptic technique
• Maintain pharmacy compliance and help keep licenses and documentation up to date
• Perform technical support duties under pharmacist supervision, contributing to smooth workflows
• Communicate clearly with pharmacy and clinical teams to support safe medication distribution
• Participate in inventory management and restocking to ensure medication availability

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician license required upon submission
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Successful completion of a Medical Pharmacy Technician course preferred
• Pre-employment drug screen required
• Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Sterile compounding experience preferred

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Pharmacy Technician course completion preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication preparation and accurate medication labeling
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
• Familiarity with pharmacy compliance and license maintenance
• Comfort working in fast-paced hospital pharmacy settings
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic inventory and supply management
