Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients rapidly, delivering high-quality emergency care for adults and children
• Provide critical interventions and monitor patient response in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the trauma team to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly, including demographic and badge-photo requirements
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and next steps with compassion and clarity
• Maintain readiness for pediatric emergencies and apply PALS protocols when needed
• Support department throughput and performance in a large, fast-paced emergency room setting

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of well-rounded adult and pediatric emergency nursing experience (explicit requirement)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• TNCC and ENPC preferred
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• Conditional compliance allowed for credentialing if you can show credentials are in process
• Ability to upload complete demographic information, including a badge-appropriate photo, during onboarding

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or BSN) and current RN credentials as required for practice

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing judgment across adult and pediatric populations
• Trauma triage and stabilization skills appropriate for a Level 1 trauma center
• Proficiency with ACLS and PALS algorithms and emergency procedures
• Clear, timely clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and prioritize effectively
• Teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary trauma and ED staff
