Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality med-surg nursing care to assigned patients on each shift
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely per physician orders
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document care clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support patient outcomes
• Assist with patient education, discharge planning, and family communication
• Respond to patient needs and call lights with compassion and professionalism

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license (required) — must be eligible to practice in North Carolina
• Minimum 2+ years of clinical experience, with Med-Surg experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or obtainable upon hire
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced hospital settings and collaborate across teams
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN/LVN program (diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid med-surg nursing knowledge and patient assessment skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients effectively
• Professional bedside manner and strong team collaboration
• Basic wound care and IV/line awareness appropriate to LPN scope
