Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living to promote comfort and dignity
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
Assist with safe patient mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent falls and skin issues
Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and hygiene protocols
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to support coordinated care
Document care activities thoroughly and timely in the patient record
Support admissions, discharges, and patient transitions with professionalism and empathy

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active or eligible for Pennsylvania state CNA certification
Recent hands-on patient care experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient care and comfort measures
Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
Infection control, hand hygiene, and PPE use
Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Clear, compassionate communication with patients and families
Basic charting and familiarity with electronic health records
