Roles & Responsibilities

Provide attentive, hands-on personal care to residents — bathing, dressing, grooming and dignity-preserving assistance
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support with safety-first techniques
Monitor and document resident status and vital signs accurately and promptly
Communicate effectively with nurses, families, and the care team to support excellent outcomes
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, following infection-control practices
Bring compassion and patience to every interaction — emotional support matters as much as clinical care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — current or eligible in Connecticut
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic patient care and infection-control procedures
Skill in safe transfer and mobility assistance
Comfortable with basic charting and documenting care
Compassionate, patient-centered communication and observational skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
