Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, helping with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and transfers safely
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes promptly to the nurse
• Support the nursing team by following care plans and attending handoffs
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Document care accurately and communicate clearly with patients and families

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state certification required or eligible for state reciprocity)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
• Comfort with lifting/transferring patients and standing for long periods
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
• Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Working knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper charts)
• Good time management and prioritization during busy shifts
• Ability to collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary teams
