Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care assisting residents with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
• Assist nursing staff with tasks to support individualized care plans
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
• Document resident care clearly and timely in the charting system
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication
• Respond quickly and professionally during overnight events and emergencies

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• High school diploma or GED required
• Comfortable with overnight shifts and providing hands-on care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well on a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
• Knowledgeable about infection control and basic safety procedures
• Competent in taking and recording vital signs and observations
• Able to document care accurately in electronic or paper charts
• Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills with residents and families
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from nursing staff
